On a dark and twisted road
My feet echo off the walls
And I pass by windows, watching
And then turn my head in fear.
The wind whispers in my ear
No breath passes through my lips
And no dreams shine through my eyes
And only a flash of pain seers through my mind.
Deceitful lights flicker as I walk
Teasing me with happiness
And then ripping me away from my sunshine
After Promising that it wouldn't
Shadows haunt my open eyes
Thorns tear at my sensitive skin
And pain evades my heart and soul
And I can do nothing to stop it.
